FAQs

Can I meet with an advisor?
We ask that you attend one of our monthly information meetings. Our information meetings are held the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00pm. Generally there are members of the faculty at the information sessions. Also many of the admissions committees take notice of who attends these meetings when reviewing applications. You may bring a copy of your transcript to submit for an academic services officer to review. Directions and further information, click here.
Can I have an Academic Service Officer review my transcript?
The office policy is not to complete credit evaluations during appointments. You may submit your transcript to an academic service officer for a review at the monthly information meeting or you may mail or fax your transcripts in with a cover letter stating your program interest. Please include your e-mail address, full mailing address and telephone number. Generally, you will receive a response within two week of receiving your request. However during peak times you may have to wait three to four weeks. Plan ahead!
How do I apply to WSU?
You may apply online to WSU through the Admissions Web site or go to WSU Welcome Center for an application
How do I apply to a program in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences?
Please refer to our admission process page for directions regarding specific program application process.
I need to work full time. Can I still be admitted into my program.
The majority of programs in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences are full-time programs only. The programs are very academically demanding, and our recommendation for many of the programs is that students should not work. There are several programs that are part time and can be flexible to the individual student. Please refer to the information sheet for your program of interest.
I need a verification of enrollment or a form filled out by a College representative. What is my next step?
Please drop off your form or fill out a request for in room 1600 in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences building. You should allow 72 hours for processing of all forms.
I need to schedule my classes. Where can I get information regarding classes and when they are offered?

I want to see my grades for a particular class?
You can access all information regarding your status as a student at WSU Pipeline.
I have a restriction preventing me from registering for one of my courses. What do I need to do?
You should contact the advisor of the day in room 1600 of the EACPHS building or call (313)577-1716. Have your student id number and the course reference number of the course that you need to register for available.
Where can I park?
Parking structure 7 across John R from the building is available for current students and guests of the building. There are entrances off Woodward and John R. If you do not have a OneCard, you will have to pay the attendant to leave the parking structure. The attendants are available on the Woodward exit of the structure.
The doors on the south (Mack) side of the building are locked. How do I get into the building?
For safety reasons, the south side building doors are locked. You may enter the building through the north side of the building during normal building hours.
What is the minimum TOEFL score for the pharmacy and health science programs?
Please refer to the University Admissions guidelines. The exception to this is the Physician Assistant Studies program, which requires a 250 on the TOEFL.
How do I apply to the Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) program?

How long are the programs?
PharmD program: 4 years of professional study
Mortuary Science: 1 calendar year
Anatomic Pathologists’ Assistant: 2-year program
Physical Therapy: 3 1/2-year program
Occupational Therapy: 3-year program
Clinical Laboratory Science: 2 1/2-year program
Cytotechnology: 2 1/2-year program
Physician Assistant Studies: 2-year program
What if I cannot finish all of the prerequisites before I plan to start in one of the Pharmacy or Health Science programs?
You will have to wait for the next admission cycle.
How can I find out if my credits from another institution will fulfill program prerequisite requirements?
