- Mortuary Science joins Allied Health division, Martin Barr resumes as Dean.
- 1983
- Departments of Pharmacy Practice and Pharmaceutical Sciences formed.
- 1984
- College Building at 1400 Chrysler is renamed Shapero Hall.
- 1986
- Cytotechnology BS in Medical Technology initiated.
- 1987
- Dr. Hanley N. Abramson (1962) named as Interim Dean.
- 1988
- Dr. George C. Fuller (1959, 1961) named as Dean.
